Let’s move away from perfection, & move towards compassion.

Abstract and Aligned, LLC is a dynamic space where creativity, self-expression, and freedom intersect.

Created, owned, and led by Lindsey, Abstract and Aligned brings creativity to life for individuals, fellow creatives, and companies seeking meaningful experiences for their teams.
Lindsey brings her experience as a counselor, art therapist, artist, and trainer in her workshops and speaking presentations.

Presentations and experiential workshops are developed to help individuals and organizations elevate emotional intelligence to lead with clarity, creativity and connectedness so they can thrive.

Community art workshops are designed to offer support, joy, and a safe space for authentic expression, free from the pressure to perfect. Think of it as a traveling and virtual art studio that breaks away from traditional, critical approaches to art-making.

Meet Lindsey

A woman with long blonde hair holding a microphone and standing in front of a large screen displaying a presentation on attentiveness. She is wearing a floral blouse, black pants, and beige shoes, in a conference room with tables and chairs, and several attendees in the background.

Hi! I am an expressive abstract artist based in New Jersey. My most recent creative work is rooted in emotion, movement, and the transformative energy of color.

Through Abstract and Aligned, I’ve created a space that invites connection, self-expression, and visual storytelling. In a world that’s increasingly digital and disconnected, this space serves as a reminder of the power of creativity to bring us back to ourselves and to each other.

Beyond the canvas, I also bring these themes into the spaces I speak in; using storytelling, lived experience, and creative insight to explore identity, emotional well-being, and the impact of how we express and receive meaning.

Offerings

  • An art studio filled with various paintings, including a large mural of twisted trees on the left wall. Paint supplies, bottles, brushes, and canvases are arranged on tables in the center. Several completed artworks and paintings are leaning against the walls and on easels. Fluorescent lights illuminate the room.

    Speaking

Lindsey’s presentations and workshops for businesses, blend mental health expertise, lived experience, and creative practices to create engaging, reflective, and meaningful learning experiences. Each talk offers practical tools, experiential elements, and space for personal insight, supporting emotional intelligence, resilience, and sustainable growth. Designed for individuals, teams, and communities, these presentations invite participants to reconnect with themselves, challenge perfectionism, and use their spark as a powerful resource for clarity, connection, and change.

Presentations can be held virtually or on-site and tailored to fit your team’s goals, schedule, and vibe.

    In-Person Community Workshops

The in-person community art events are held at welcoming spaces throughout New Jersey (libraries, community centers, local galleries, and more). These gatherings are designed to bring people together through hands-on creative experiences, no matter your background or artistic level. Whether you're looking to explore your creativity, connect with others, or just enjoy a relaxed, art-filled atmosphere, all are welcome.

If you have a space and would like to invite me to facilitate an event for your community, feel free to reach out! I would love to bring the experience to you.

    Virtual Community Workshops

Virtual art workshops bring the studio experience to you. These interactive classes and workshops are held online and open to all adult creatives. Whether you're picking up a paintbrush for the first time or diving deeper into your creative practice, you’ll get real-time guidance all from the comfort of home. Great for busy schedules, quiet evenings, or anyone looking to create in a low-pressure, supportive environment.

“When you encounter a block, look inside for a rule to break. Remember: it’s not the painting that’s important, it’s you. Once the painting is finished, it’s just a piece of paper with paint on it- and there will be hundreds more!”
